MBA/MA Program
The Lauder Institute offers an MBA/MA program that’s geared to prepare you for the world of global business. It’s for those who speak a second language and want to learn the art of communicating and conducting business in that language, and for those with a passion for understanding cultural diversity and interests that go beyond business. It’s is more than a business program. It’s a career-changing, life-changing opportunity. Are you ready?
The unique joint-degree MBA/MA Lauder Program prepares future leaders by integrating the Wharton MBA with an MA in International Studies from Penn’s School of Arts & Sciences. Students become part of a small, tight-knit community that’s passionate about international management issues and global studies.
Students in this program will be prepared to assume positions of leadership in global business.
The MA in International Studies is designed for students who already have advanced second-language skills and emphasizes cross-cultural training through one of eight tracks: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish.
Another differentiating aspect of the International Studies curriculum is that students work in teams on a research project that enables them to integrate their learning across disciplinary, linguistic, and regional boundaries.
The 24-month, joint-degree calendar begins in early May and includes a summer of study, comprising 4 weeks on campus followed by an 8-week summer immersion program abroad prior to starting Wharton.
